Many people quietly attach their identity to their beliefs. And that comes at a cost. When beliefs change - politically, scientifically, relations-wise or learnings-wise, people tend to stick to what they believed in already, quite rigidly.
This rigidity costs dearly. Politicians use it to divide and rule, play with emotions and win at their game. Forget politicians, even people around you probably take advantage of your rigidity to things, to make things happen their way.
The first step to being flexible with your beliefs is to stop debating about everything. We all know all political parties right now are sh**, and that it doesn’t matter who is at the helm when it comes to justice or improvement for the common man. We also know something that is happening halfway across the world has little impact on your wellbeing right now. Let’s just simply stop debating about all the countless useless things we do every single day.
