It's always best to start with "everyone is a genius.”
But most often, people start with “no one is a genius.”
It’s easy to poke holes when you assess and judge someone by what they are NOT known for.
In the pursuit of validating our own genius, let’s not minimize what others have to offer.
From a street vendor to a software engineer to a CEO, every person is good at something.
When you start with “everyone is a genius,” we try to search for that one thing that person is doing best.
And you have no reason to stop until you find it.
On the contrary, when you start with “no one is a genius,” you get an answer quite quickly since one hole in their skillset is all you need.
